Question:  How does the propane tank exchange work?
Answer:  Simply disconnect your empty propane tank from your propane appliance and leave it outside in a visible and easily accessible place. On your scheduled delivery day, Propane Tanks to You will replace your empty propane tank with a full propane tank.

Question:  Do I have to be home when Propane Tanks to You exchanges my propane tank?
Answer:  You do not have to be home when Propane Tanks to You exchanges your tank.

Question:  What if I have a tank from one of the exchange cages found in front of the hardware stores?
Answer:  You own that tank!  We will gladly exchange it for you.

Question:  How do I know if my return tank is still in good condition?
Answer:  There are two important things to look for:  First it must have a current OPD valve with exterior threads. You will be able to tell this by looking at the turn handle of the valve. If this handle is triangular in shape your valve is current. As long as you bought the tank by October 1998 or later your valve should be up to date. Secondly, check for any obvious signs of damage. We cannot accept a tank with major dents, a missing collar or foot-ring, or major rust damage.

Question:  What if I do not have a propane tank to exchange and want a full propane tank delivered?
Answer:  Propane Tanks to You offers full tanks delivered without exchange. Check our product guide for current rates for this service.

Question:  Do I get a full 20lbs of propane in my delivered BBQ tank?
Answer:  Absolutely! Exchanging a tank with Propane Tanks to You means you get 33% more propane. Unlike the cylinders found in the exchange cages at the hardware stores which only have 15lbs of gas in them, when we deliver a 20lb propane tank, it contains 20lbs of propane!

Question:  Is it safe to have 20lbs of propane in a BBQ tank?
Answer:  Yes! Propane tanks are built with room for expansion. The rumor that this is unsafe has only very recently been started by disingenuous propane suppliers who want to convince you that they are justified in giving you less gas.
